One Fit Mama™ was created in June 2005, by Patricia Streit Perez.
After the birth of her son, Caleb, in February 2005, she found it difficult to resume her normal exercise routine. Her gym did not have child care, and it was not feasible to hire a babysitter each time she wanted to work out.
So, with her extensive experience in the Health and Fitness Fields, she created her own exercise routines with Caleb. Because she enjoyed this time so much, Tricia decided to merge her family and her career, and One Fit Mama™ was created.
She has a B.S. in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training, and a M.S. in Sports Management. She has been certified as an Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) since 1997, and has been licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania since 2003. Prior to founding One Fit Mama, she worked as an Athletic Trainer for Temple University, Florida State University, and Florida International University. Tricia has also worked in a clinical setting and with all levels of sport, from youth to professional rankings. Tricia has done much research and has written articles and given lectures on women in Athletic Training. Tricia has served as both a lecture and laboratory professor at various universities. In addition, she is certified by ACE (American Council on Exercise), DSW (Desert Southwest) Fitness, and SCW Fitness in Pre-and Post-Natal Fitness. She lives in Oreland, PA with her son, Caleb, and their dog, Bubba.
